Real hip hop heads know midwest rapper Tech N9ne. They know that he has a speedy delivery and a crazy flow and that he gets mad respect in the hip hop world.

Tech N9ne aka Aaron Dontez Yates from Kansas City is a well-known rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards.

His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming Chopper style. Yates later applied a deeper meaning to the name, claiming that it stands for the complete technique of rhyme, with “tech” meaning technique and “nine” representing the number of completion.

Tech N9ne just released his homage video and song to ‘Old Skool’ hip hop. The song pays mad respect to the throwback electro-hop era combining Hashim’s – Al Naafiysh (The Soul) and Jam (It’s Time) by Matrix. It is a good one that will keep your head nodding and make you want to get out and do a headspin or windmill, whichever you think you can actually pull off.
